Overview

The magnificent Rainbow Mountain of Peru, also known as Vinicunca, is a breathtaking sight that can be experienced on the spectacular Ausangate Trek. The Ausangate mountain itself is considered a holy mountain, or mountain spirit, by the local Peruvians and is the deity of Cusco. The mountain has been a place of worship and offerings since pre-Inca times, and this tradition continues to this day.

Previously, most trips that allowed you to see the Rainbow Mountains required at least a 6-day trek. However, we now offer a brand new itinerary designed for a day trip! Experience the beauty of the Rainbow Mountains in just one day with our specially designed hike.
